Course convener on China’s strategic and security challenges. Conducted research projects and fieldworks in Syria, Myanmar and Venezuela on non-state actors in conflict zones and post-conflict reconstruction, and China’s strategy towards conflict mediation, humanitarian assistance and regime transition.
Leading Negotiator, China-Venezuela Working Group on Crisis Solution, 2019. Established the first contacts and back-channeling negotiations between Venezuela’s opposition and Chinese government, and worked with United Nations and embassies on the ground to find a peaceful and political solution to Venezuela crisis. Lobbied for humanitarian access of multilateral organizations into Venezuela.
