Assistant Professor, School of International Studies, Peking University, 2021-now

Research Fellow, Australian National University. 2019-2021. Fellowship under the ARC and Westpac Project on China and International Order. Course convener on China’s strategic and security challenges. Conducted research projects and fieldworks in Syria, Myanmar and Venezuela on non-state actors in conflict zones and post-conflict reconstruction, and China’s strategy towards conflict mediation, humanitarian assistance and regime transition.

Research Associate, United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). 2016-18. Managed the Poverty, Equity and Governance portfolios in rule of law, human rights and development cooperation. Provided policy research and assistance to UN Country Director and Resident Coordinator, UN Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator in Myanmar, former UN Assistant Secretary-General.
